Treasurer: The Treasurer is responsible for deposits and withdrawals from the bank account and maintaining the budget. This is a yearlong position, but the work doesn’t have to be during the workday.
Webmaster: We really need help with a webmaster to manage the accounts for the PTA.
Membership chair: We need help recruiting new members, managing our membership list, keeping our storefront updated. This position is more short-term (if you have time now but not later in the year) and does not have to be during the workday.
Spiritwear chair: We need someone to work with the school to agree on a spiritwear design, choose a company to create a storefront, and publicize Spiritwear orders through Givebacks and the school’s newsletter. This position is more short-term (if you have time now but not later in the year) and does not have to be during the workday.
Hospitality Chair: We need help from someone to organize the teacher back-to-school breakfast in August, a holiday luncheon for teachers, and teacher appreciation week, plus the Faculty Fairy program. This is a year-long position with some need to be in the school during the workday.
Hospitality Committee: Help the hospitality chair plan and execute events.
Reflections Chair: Run the Reflections program for Luther Jackson this year. https://vapta.org/reflections/
Heritage Night: Work with the school to plan Heritage Night (or similar event in the spring) including .
8th Grade Celebration: This is a school function and I think the 8th graders generally plan it, but it would be good for a PTA member to help the school however needed and help figure out what they need from the PTA.
